Season 1 sends DMZ squads after two very different targets: a battle tank in Hajin and The Captain inside X01. If you're looking at CoD MW4 DMZ Leveling Boosting while planning your runs, it helps to know that both fights reward patience across multiple deployments.

How the Briefings Work

The tank briefing lets you collect one part per deployment, with better rewards as your collection grows. The Captain's helmet sections also build progress across runs, but there's a catch: you've got to extract with them for those sections to count.

That changes the way a squad should approach each fight. Don't spend every resource chasing a perfect run; bring gear you can replace, learn where the pressure comes from, and make a clean exit part of the plan.

Making the Tank Fight Manageable

The plan: Bring a launcher, explosives and spare armour plates, then have one teammate cover infantry while another watches for operators moving toward the sound of the fight.

The problem: A tank can soak up damage while its fire and nearby infantry pin your squad down, giving rival players time to close in from an angle you aren't watching.

The response: Pick cover with room to move, call out threats early, collect the part when it's safe and leave before the noise turns your position into a meeting point.

Reality check: I've spent long enough staring at a loot pile to know that the walk out can be the hardest bit.

Why Squads Are Taking Their Time

These briefings suit players who don't mind returning to the same target and getting a little better each time. A missed extraction hurts, especially in X01, so a cautious squad may make steadier progress than one that keeps pushing for extra loot.

The squad chat usually comes back to the same question: is another room worth checking when everyone already has something valuable to carry out.

Inside X01

X01 sits on Hajin's northern edge, with dark passages, tunnels and rooms spread across several levels. Extraction points close over time, so check your route before the shooting starts; a long fight can leave your nearest exit unavailable when you need it.

The Captain wears heavy armour and has an elite guard ready to flank. Focus fire when you've got a clear angle, assign someone to watch the side routes, and be careful with explosives in tight corridors where teammates can get caught.

One Mistake to Avoid

Skip this: Don't clear every room after collecting a helmet section just because the squad won the fight and the extra loot looks tempting.

Other Targets and Useful Prep

The Boss Board also tracks an autonomous Wheelson and lieutenants Knuckle and The Wrench. Commanders can drop valuable 3D Printer ingredients, DMZ XP and Cash; lieutenant weapon drops are tempting too, though taking a dog tag case reveals your position to every operator.

Mixing boss attempts with Dynamic Operations can help keep cash and supplies coming in, and DMZ Survival Kits are useful when a risky run goes wrong. A supply drop from an earlier operation may still be worth extracting with after a failed fight.

Keep the Exit in Mind

Season 1 begins on November 6 at 00:00 Eastern, so there's time to plan a few routes and sort out a replaceable loadout. Whether you're checking Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta Early Access Codes or organising a squad, remember that a helmet section only helps once it gets out.
